Alexey's teaching focuses on leadership, with his research also looking at leadership and influence in organisations. He is also a consultant for top managers, and has written over 70 articles and three books, including the bestseller Athletic CEOs: Leadership In Turbulent Times. He contributes as an expert to RBK, the Harvard Business Review, Forbes and others, and is an executive coach at Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, INSEAD and CEIBS. He is also Certified coach of PCC ICF and Stakeholder-Centered Coaching Marshall Goldsmith.
Alexey earned his PhD in Psychology from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2006 and went on to combine applied organisational projects with teaching at Lomonosov Moscow State University and Moscow’s Higher School of Economics. He worked as Consultant in Ward Howell, Linkage Inc., was a participant in an INSEAD project Board Chairs’ Practices across Countries. He achieved outstanding results in teaching and research to win a competition for young academics and teachers at Lomonosov Moscow State University (2006), High Professional Capacity Group of Higher School of Economics (2007-2009), and nomination of the 10 best lectures "University Open to the City" (Higher School of Economics, 2013). Alexey was six times chosen by students as the Higher School of Economics’ best teacher (2011-2016).
