Programme structure

SKOLKOVO MBA allows you to get an academic business education and customise it for your personal business objectives.

An individual educational trajectory is built using specialisation, electives, as well as project streams, which includes the development of a consulting or entrepreneurial project. The programme also ofers an international module and a leadership developement stream.

The programme includes 16 modules and is intended to last 18 months
Each module lasts from 4 to 6 days
You complete assignments and work on group projects in-between modules

  • Economics for Managers

    The ability of a business to quickly adapt and benefit from any external changes depends on the correct interpretation of macroeconomic events and global trends, understanding the fundamental patterns of behaviour of economic entities at the micro level. And management decisions based on economic analysis give the business a tangible competitive advantage.

  • LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

    The comprehensive leadership course that opens the module will help answer the question: Why should other people follow you? Various course components will be included in the module, such as Leadership, Organisational Behaviour, Strategy, Strategic Human Resource Management, as well as project streams, group and individual coaching sessions.

  • ACCOUNTING FOR MANAGERS

    In the data economy, financial and management accounting takes on a new meaning. The quality of decisions made, the efficiency, and competitiveness of any business depend on the correct interpretation of reporting.

  • DATA-DRIVEN DECISION-MAKING

    The business environment is fluid, which makes it difficult to make decisions, especially in a business that develops new products. The main goal of the manager is to adapt to a large data flow, the ability to work with it, and make the most effective decisions, using both analytical approach and intuition. For these purposes, there are useful tools and techniques that will make the decision-making process straightforward and effective.

  • MARKETING

    The module provides an intensive immersion in the theory and practice of strategic marketing, modern concepts and tools that help form and implement corporate competitive advantages, consolidate company’s position in the market. It includes the analysis of customers and customer markets, value creation by developing products that meet customer needs, optimisation of all tactical actions to implement a product strategy and enter target markets.

  • OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

    Operations management is a critical business function in terms of customer value creation. Competitive environment requires the ability to analyse the current situation and find the best options for building business operations and operational strategy to improve the company’s efficiency.

  • ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR

    The relationships between people within the company at the individual, group, and organisational levels are the important resource for achieving business goals. Understanding the differences between people and their motivation, the principles of teamwork and organisational effectiveness factors, entrepreneurs and corporate managers achieve qualitatively new results for their companies.

  • DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

    Digitalisation flips around the established business models and makes any competitive advantage temporary. The expectations and behaviour of customers and employees are changing, barriers to market entry are lowering, qualitatively new business models with unique logic are emerging, and the technological ecosystem is replacing the platform approach. To thrive in this ever-changing environment, companies need to rethink their strategies, organisational models, and technology architecture.

  • CORPORATE FINANCE

    Attracting sufficient funds to run the company requires developed competencies in financial management, including planning, modelling and analysis. The module will help answer the questions: Where and how to raise funds and how to use them most effectively?

  • STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT + FUNDAMENTALS INTEGRATION

    The course focuses on organisational strategy and strategic management. It includes the study of issues related to the processes of selecting and setting goals, formulating and implementing strategies, as well as monitoring strategic indicators. The course is aimed at providing an understanding of the complexity and uncertainty in strategic management, developing the skills and knowledge to deal with ambiguity, and learning to identify and evaluate alternatives.

  • COMPLEX NEGOTIATIONS

    How to win negotiations in advance? What tactics and tools to use to make difficult negotiations easier? How to learn to convince different opponents? How to find your individual style for business negotiations?
