Alexey studied strategy and international business at Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, BI Norwegian Business School, Graduate School of Business at Lomonosov Moscow State University, as well as on specialised programmes by Keio University and Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan. Alexey is also a certified consultant in management and organisational development (RANEPA).
Alexey is an experienced strategist who is adept at helping executives to explore global trends, creatively rethink business contexts, and craft better working strategies. He teaches Global Trends in Business and Society and Strategy for executives both on open enrolment and customised programmes. In 2017-2019, he served his two-year term as a member of the SKOLKOVO International Academic Council.
Alexey’s main areas of interest are global strategies and future insights, including trends, scenarios, and narratives. His most recent research projects include the Future of the Arctic, the Chinese Grand Strategy in Eurasia, and Disruptions in Global Logistics. His broader research interests span across the fields of forest economy, ocean economy, Islamic economy, creative industries, and non-binary consumer marketing.
Alexey is a regular teaching contributor on executive education and customised programmes for companies exploring internationalisation opportunities. He has also developed a customised Global Leaders programme for internationalising energy companies, as well as open enrolment programmes such as Doing Business in China, Doing Business in India, Sustainable Business Strategies, Forest Based Bioeconomy, and an accelerated management programme for young professionals.
Alexey regularly offers opinions and comments on developments in global logistics, narrative economy, bioeconomy, and non-binary marketing in Russia’s major business media such as RBC, Forbes Russia, Republic, and more.
Alexey also has over 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles in strategy and international business development in energy, engineering, and information technology. During his industry career, Alexey was named as one of Russia’s Top 3 marketing directors of the year in the energy sector three years in a row.
