The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO received an honorary award as the best project in the field of Russian-Chinese business education. The award was presented at a ceremony devoted to the closing of the Russian-Chinese business year. The event was held on December 14 by the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), with the support of the Chinese Embassy in Russia. Marat Atnashev, Dean of the Business School, received the award from Li Jinyuan, Plenipotentiary Minister and Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy. In his speech, he noted the key role of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO in developing business education and business cooperation between Russia and China.

Marat Atnashev emphasised that the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO has been cooperating with entrepreneurs from China for a long time, providing them with Understanding Russia, unique educational programmes for launching their business in the country. He also spoke about the strategic partnership between the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), as well as the HKUST — SKOLKOVO Executive MBA for Eurasia Programme. The objective of this educational programme, which will be launched in autumn 2018, is to grow leaders for Eurasia who are able to conduct business under the One Belt, One Road Initiative (BRI). The launch of the programme was announced at the meeting of the International Advisory Board of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO in October 2017. The training will be conducted in English. The programme will have six international modules—China, America, Israel, Kazakhstan, Switzerland and Russia.

Li Jinyuan, Plenipotentiary Minister and Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, as well as heads of China's largest public and private corporations, including ICBC, Huawei, CNPC, Sinopec, ZTE, China Development Bank, China Mobile, China Unicom and others, represented China at the welcome reception.
