About the Programme

New Leaders of Higher Education

The Programme was designed and conducted under the umbrella of Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation.

The goal of the Programme: To train university top managers capable of implementing changes in higher education and of improving quality of management.

Participants: Rectors, vice-principals, and other senior managers of leading Russian universities.

Advisor: Andrei Volkov.

Duration: November 2012 – October 2013. Eight modules, five days each.

Participation was free for the selected representatives of state universities.

New Leaders of Higher Education
is a unique educational programme.

For the first time in the history of post-Soviet Russia top managers of leading Russian universities will gathered to share the best practice and elaborate strategic development projects.

Programme was designed on the analogy of Executive Education courses. SKOLKOVO business school is an acknowledged leader in Executive Education in Russia.

The Programme was based on project-based learning. Each Programme participant was involved into project work related to the development of projects which were of strategic importance to the system of higher education in Russia.

The Programme was supported by world-renowned experts in university management, professors from the best business schools and current managers of world leading universities.
