• An international programme to strengthen the system of primary and secondary professional education and collaboration in the development of the employment markets in the CIS, Asia and the Middle East. Stage 1

    Programme commissioned by: the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

    Programme partner: the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

    Objective: to formulate effective mechanisms for the support and development of systems to prepare present-day skilled workers in keeping with the demands of the innovation-driven growth of economies, and the strengthening of the interdependency between professional preparation systems and the growth of export, widening economic diversification and the creation of decent employment positions.

    Brief description: a joint initiative between the ILO and the SKOLKOVO Education Development Centre aimed at facilitating the effective cooperation of employment markets and systems of professional education in five countries (Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Jordan and Vietnam). The project was commissioned by the Russian Government within the framework of the forthcoming G20 and G8 summits.

  • Global Competitiveness of Russian Universities

    Objective: The educational programme «Global Competitiveness of Russian Universities» for Rectors and managing Teams including HR and Finance departments from 15 Russian leading Universities was launched in December 2013 to assist the Russian Universities in implementing the Programmes for improving the international competitiveness. The aim of the Programme was to develop both the stable model of the competitive Russian University and the instruments for its implementation at Universities participating in «Programmes 5/100». The programme also included the internship of Rectors from 15 Russian Universities in the leading Universities of Southern Korea and Hong Kong.

    Dates: December 2013 – May 2014.

  • "Foresight competence" and "Atlas of new professions"

    In early 2012 Project «Foresight competence» was approved by the Supervisory Board of the Strategic Initiatives Agency under the President of the Russian Federation and received the status Project of the Agency (http://www.asi.ru/projects/96) in the direction of «Young Professionals» headed by Dmitry Peskov. The project was headed by Pavel Luksha, Professor of Practice at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. The project was implemented by the SKOLKOVO Education Development Centre headed by Denis Konanchuk since 2012.

    Substantial part of the project was obtained under the state contract № 13.511.11.1002/176-11/2 entitled «Study of long-term demand for staff with competencies in the field of technological innovation», the client of which was the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The main provider of the state contract was Petrozavodsk State University, and Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO was the contractor for the component associated with Foresight competence.

    From the very beginning Agency for Strategic Initiatives rendered substantial assistance to the project, including administrative support, removing barriers for project implementation, provision of experts and professionals to implement the project and prepare the results. The Agency assisted with the design of the final version of the Atlas, its publication and distribution to a wide range of users (universities, vocational guidance institutions, etc.).
