Moscow, June 25, 2009 – Forming its faculty team, Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO has set a goal to find reputable professors, giving them the inspiration to work in Russia while collaborating with the school and the companies working on the global market. This resulted in a team, which features world renowned professors with substantial teaching knowledge and research experience.
When inviting the faculty, the school was guided not by the industries, but by the spheres, in which it wants to have the best expertise – rapidly developing markets, entrepreneurship and leadership, and infrastructure. Both teaching and research activities of the professors are focused in these main spheres. The professors will pass their expertise into educational programs, which will change the classical view on business education, which is primarily focused on education through real world projects and stimulating cross-functional thinking. His areas of expertise include financial modeling and forecasting with artificial intelligence and other. Alan Kantrow is a management professor of SKOLKOVO and Director of the Infrastructure Research Centre (SIRC) – has been for almost 15 years the senior partner and content managing director of Monitor Group, and before he had been a partner of McKinsey & Company and the Europe and Asia-Pacific Region communications director. Before McKinsey, Alan occupied the post of the Harvard Business Review chief editor. Seung Ho "Sam" PARK – professor, SKOLKOVO Chair Professor of Strategy and President of Institute for Emerging Market Studies (SIEMS) – formerly occupied the post of President of Samsung Economic Research Institute China, and chair British American Tobacco Professor. He is an internationally recognized scholar in joint ventures and alliances, emerging market strategies, and the role of multinational companies. Elizabeth Sadova, who teaches the Executive Education programs since the school’s establishment, is a SKOLKOVO professor of leadership and organizational behavior. Elizabeth has worked in the business education sphere for more than ten years. Vikas Tibrewala, business professor and President of the SKOLKOVO Leaders Forum - was the Executive Director and Senior Faculty Member in Monitor Executive Development, where he was head of the European practice. Professor Tibrewala has worked in INSEAD for 19 years, and his teaching and research interests are focused on the development of effective marketing in companies. Steven Weber - SKOLKOVO management professor - previously worked as a Political Science professor and professor in School of Information in University of California Berkeley.
