Moscow, January 28, 2010 - We are glad to announce that SKOLKOVO started the first module for the second class of Executive MBA students. This year’s group consists not only of the Russian citizens (Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan), but also students from Austria, India and Ukraine.

SKOLKOVO EMBA is a world-level programme that is unique in Russia. It is targeted at top-managers and business-owners with the key focus on leadership development.

This year, about 100 candidates applied for SKOLKOVO Executive MBA programme, but only 39 applicants successfully completed all the qualifying tests and individual interviews with SKOLKOVO founding  partners. It should be noted that 5 participants of the programme are the finalists of the contest “New People, New Ideas” organized by SKOLKOVO and Sberbank of Russia.

The current group of students includes the business owners and top managers from Russian and multinational companies as well as public sector representatives, who could obviously make it possible to extend the barriers of the intercultural and professional communication.

Traditionally, the programmme participants started with the module “Understanding General Management” which is scheduled for January 27–31 and takes place in Nakhabino Le Meridien Moscow Country Club. The key course “Leadership Practice” which includes individual and group coaching and training sessions will also start during the first module.

Arkady Dvorkovich, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, whose speech was highly appreciated by the students of the first class is again invited to greet the students of the new EMBA class.

Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO is a joint project of Russian and international business representatives, who joined their efforts to create a business new-generation school from scratch. By sharing practical knowledge, the Moscow School of Management dedicates itself to training leaders, who intend to implement their professional knowledge in the conditions of rapidly developing markets. SKOLKOVO is defined by: leadership and business undertakings, rapidly developing markets focus, innovative approach towards educational methods. 

The SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management  project is fulfilled by the governmental-private partnership within the framework of the Education Foreground National Project. The project is financed by private investors, and doesn’t use governmental budget recourses. The President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev is Chairman of the SKOLKOVO International Advisory Board. 

Since 2006 SKOLKOVO conducts short educational programs Executive Education for top and medium-level managers – the programs are held in an open manner, and specialized, developed basing on the companies requests comprehensive modules. In January 2009 the school started the Executive МВА programme. The first class of the international Full-time MBA program has been enrolled, the classes started in September 2009.
